Kathy Fremes is a certified competition coach through the Equine Canada (EC) and the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) level 2 and is qualified to mentor other instructor and coaching candidates.  She has owned and operated this 30-acre horse facility for 30 years and has taught for even longer. Kathy has been involved in the equestrian industry for over 45 years, first as a rider and three-day event competitor, and later as an instructor and stable manager and sport horse breeder, caring for 50 horses for over 10 years and just 20 for the remainder of her 30-year career as an industry professional . She believes that the relationship with a horse starts on the ground and places an emphasis on good animal husbandry. Kathy wants her students not just to be good riders, but good horse people too. She is also is an instructor Management of the Equine Environment for the University of Guelph’s, Equine Guelph.

At Country Hill, lessons are fun for students of all ages and stages. Unlike many riding schools, Country Hill offers schooling outside the confines of our indoor and outdoor rings–students can take advantage of the cross-country course or grass dressage ring or the network of trails in our beautiful “Green Belt” farm–far away from high rises, highways and subdivisions–but only 50 minutes from Toronto.

Schooling our own cross country course and others off property is just one of the many opportunities available to students. We also invite other riders to ship in for a day for x-country, stadium jumping or dressage schooling with three star EC coach Kathy Fremes.

Also a growing part of her teaching involveshttp://www.countryhillfarm.ca/schedulelessons/mentoring instructor and coaching candidate who travel from all parts of this province to train with her.
